		Patrick Stephenson Limited is an Independent Agricultural Consultancy company operating from Pickering, North Yorkshire. The business covers over 15,000 acres from Yorkshire to Cumbria and is involved with all aspects of ‘on farm’ advice. In addition the business has extensive experience of agricultural impact assessment work across the UK in relation to major transport routes and the utility industry.
Farm advice covers all aspects of crop production including rotation, nutrition, pesticides and business management. Additional work is undertaken for Cross Compliance, Catchment Sensitive Farming, and Environmental Impact Assessments for planning applications and business diversification. We have organised successful grant applications for on farm initiatives such as Farm Shops to potato packing facilities Agricultural Impact Assessment Reports have been completed for over 20 national road schemes including the M6, A1, A14 and M1. This has involved working alongside all the associated government bodies and the following representation at Public Enquiries. The company is continuing to move with the times and is currently looking into environmental issues with solutions such as renewable energy crops, Biofuels and Biogas production. The business is supported by on-going training to keep abreast of the evolving industry. Qualifications include: BETA, Soil and Water Examination, The National Standards of Professional Competence, Integrated Crop Management, BASIS Professional Register, FACTS.
